Fry’s Cook Book to Fund Budding Chef

Mark Naicker (19), one of the twelve Durbanites who competed in the first live Fry’s Family Food Curry Cook-Off, held in Durban in June this year, will have the opportunity to fulfill his dream of enrolling for a Diploma in Catering Management at the International Hotel School in Durban. Courtesy of the proceeds from the Fry’s Family Food Cook Book that was launched in October 2013 and which was donated by Fry’s Family Food Group, compiled in association with SA Masterchef Deena Naidoo, towards Naicker’s tertiary studies.
Naicker impressed the judges that included former SA Masterchef Deena Naidoo, respected local chef, Asha Maharaj and Wally Fry, CEO of Fry’s Family Foods, with his vegetarian Lanieres De Poulet using Fry’s Meat Free Chicken-Style Strips.
“I have been experimenting with different recipes since I was much younger. Tasty and nourishing meals are important to me, especially being able to enjoy them with family.
