Urvashi Kaur’s S/S ‘14 collection titled ‘SEMAH’ epitomizes the state of trance in harmony with nature and all its elements. The Collection seeks to celebrate the three unified states of human nature- the mind (as knowledge and thought), the heart (through the expression of feelings, poetry and music), and the body (by activating life, by turning).
The organic feel is highlighted by a restrained palette of colours encompassing natural dyes like indigo, reds, greys, ochre, and ecru.
The silhouettes are brought to life with the use of indigenous hand-woven organic textiles from Kutch and Andhra. Sheer cotton weaves like Kota ,mulmul, chanderi and linen lend fluidity to the collection.
