Investing in India through FNB.

Investing in India through FNB.

Kevin Pillay

Which is your home town and tell us about your parents, siblings and family?
I was born in Durban, Kwa Zulu- Natal. My dad passed away in 1999 and my mum currently lives in Benoni. I have two younger siblings, a sister and brother who are married and live in Gauteng. I have three beautiful nieces. My wife Nerissa and I are married for 15 years. We have two handsome sons , Lyle (14 years old) and Mikael (3 years old). We live in Northriding in Johannesburg.

Which school and university did you attend, and what were your dreams as a young man?
I completed my secondary schooling at Liverpool Secondary School in Benoni and continued my tertiary education through UNISA and Milpark Business School. As a young man I was undecided between a career as a fireman or a teacher and chose the safer route by joining FNB.

Where and how did FNB become part of your life?
After matriculating I decided to pursue an accounting career through UNISA. However, after two weeks of boredom at home, I picked up the telephone directory and called FNB for a job. FNB was the first to offer me an interview and gave me the platform I needed to advance in banking. After 18 years of being at FNB, I can truly say that my blood is turquoise.
